We established the YWAM base in Pichilemu, Chile, in 1993, and since then we have grown from four couples to more than 53 long-term staff members, with many more serving for short-term periods. Thousands of young people have been trained, and many have been sent out from our base to serve as missionaries in these countries: Uruguay, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay, Colombia, Mexico, the USA, Canada, Turkey, Switzerland, Spain, and Italy.

Our Grassroots Leadership:

Each of them received a calling from God to train the next generation.
Six couples from different countries, yet united by a shared desire to see God’s Kingdom spread across the entire earth, are now leading our community toward that vision.

We are Mitch and Juliette Anderson, missionaries from the U.S. who have been serving in Chile for the past 32 years.
We served as missionaries in Hawaii from 1983 to 1987, and in Chile from January 1988 to the present.
We arrived in Chile in 1988 with a commitment of only two years. But after receiving the call to go to Pichilemu to establish the YWAM base, we have now been working there for 28 years.
We started the YWAM Pichilemu, Chile ministry in 1993 and continue to serve as directors of YWAM Pichilemu.

We joined YWAM Chile in 1989 and began pioneering alongside other missionaries in Pichilemu in 1994. We started the counseling school in 1997; we have also been part of the national leadership since 2005, and members of the counseling and primary health faculty committee since 2009.
