This school is part of the School of Counseling and Primary Health Care and focuses on counseling ministries specializing in addiction; the goal is to train counselors to work with this issue. We believe that Jesus Christ came to set the captives free and that anyone can enjoy this freedom in Him. Often, humanity, by exercising its distorted view of freedom, ends up in bondage rather than gaining freedom, and this bondage usually manifests itself in the form of addictions. In this course, students will learn the practical and theological foundations of addictive behavior and how to diagnose and treat addictions from a practical and biblical perspective.

Students will learn about the different types of addictions and the recovery process, so they can be more effective in the field of counseling. Students will discover God’s heart for people struggling with these issues and grow in their faith in Him, believing in complete restoration.

The School for Addiction Counseling Ministries is accredited by the University of the Nations as: CNH 323/324
