This school is part of the Faculty of Counseling and Primary Health and focuses on training ministers in addiction counseling and counselors to work with this specific issue. Jesus Christ came to set the captives free, and everyone can enjoy this freedom. Often, however, people, in pursuing their own vision of freedom, end up in bondage rather than gaining freedom, and this bondage manifests itself in the form of addictions. In this course, students will explore the practical and theological foundations of addictive behavior and learn how to diagnose and treat addictions from a practical and biblical perspective.
Students will learn about the different types of addictions and the recovery process, so they can be even more effective in the field of counseling. They will also learn about Jesus’ heart for those struggling with addiction and deepen their faith in Him, believing in a complete recovery through Jesus.
